本系列課程旨在幫助大學生掌握進階留學、英文論文撰寫與 EMI 課程中必備的學術寫作與口語表達技能。通過由領域專家領導的實用工作坊，學生將學習學術寫作技巧、具說服力的論證方法，以及自信的公開演講，從而在不同學術領域中脫穎而出。

課程時數：3小時 x 2 Sessions

Course description
Is academic writing in the Stem- and humanities-related subjects so different in nature? This course will provide part of the answer to this question. The purpose of this course is to cater for students who have not been oriented to English academic writing in the humanities as well as those have taken a course in (English) humanities academic writing but need a light refresher. Apart from the key skills to be inculcated (i.e., developing clear logical arguments and effective summarizing for essay-writing), the content immersion of the course is laced and enlivened with thought-provoking and contemporary issues in the humanities and social sciences. In the process, the course will also engage the discussion and use of AI-assisted processes in completing the writing tasks allocated.

Session 1 Activities:

1.1 Orientation / reading an article
1.2 Selecting a topic for development
1.3 Going through the writing / peer review & instructor input 

2 pieces of gradable assignment to be done in class
